Louvre Atlanta is an unprecedented partnership between the High Museum of Art and the Musée du Louvre in Paris that will bring hundreds of works of art from the Louvre’s collections to Atlanta. From October 2006 through 2009, the High will present a series of long-term special exhibitions of art from the Louvre built around specific themes and periods. The collaboration will also include the exchange of cultural expertise, as well as educational programs, publications, symposia, and films exploring the exhibitions.

On Tuesday, May 16, 2007, the High’s Director Michael Shapiro was interviewed by Matt Lauer on NBC's The Today Show about Louvre Atlanta as part of the show’s coverage of the Louvre and the Da Vinci CodeView the clip of Michael speaking with Matt on The Today Show.
