Summer Internship Program 2008 OpportunitiesThe deadline for submitting application materials for the 2008 Summer Internship Program has passed. Please check back in January 2009 for next summer's internship application information. The High Museum of Art's internship program is offered each summer for 8 weeks to currently enrolled college students at the undergraduate level. We consider our internships as unpaid learning opportunities, but interns are given many benefits of regular employees, such as free admission to some museum functions, discounts at our gift shops and café. The High offers you the chance to gain practical work experience in a field where experience counts. We strive to give our interns work that is meaningful, educational, and vital to the life of the museum. In addition to contributing to seminal activities in the departments to which interns are assigned, once each week, interns will participate in a series of professional development workshops in various departments and daily operational functions. Internships are unpaid and candidates accepted into the program are responsible for securing their own housing and transportation (including parking) for the duration of the program. |
