Designed for children ages fifteen months through three years with their caregivers, Toddler Thursdays engage children’s creativity and incorporate monthly themes with related artwork, art-making activities, stories, and tours. Explore, learn, and create every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All activities are free with Museum admission. Toddler Thursdays are sibling friendly, so bring the whole gang!
For groups of 10 or more, please visit Student Group Visits.
For children ages 5 and under, admission to the museum is free.
Toddler Tours are physically interactive, twenty-minute educational experiences for young children. Building on budding imaginations, we use dance and drama to interpret art and learn about museums. Best for ages fifteen months through three years. Toddler Tours are offered on the second and fourth Toddler Thursdays of each month.
At the High, our teaching artists read with children and invite them to make meaning of a book’s art, text, and design. Our interactive story times—inspired by Megan Dowd Lambert’s Whole Book Approach—include drama, movement, and opportunities to touch and handle objects related to the books.
Each book follows a monthly theme and fosters engagement with art and storytelling. The High collaborates with Atlanta-based children’s librarians to select developmentally appropriate books and ensure a wonderful experience for you and your child.
