Designed in their characteristic Asian-influenced style by California architects Greene & Greene for the Charles M. Pratt home, this table was made with the finest materials and labor-intensive techniques. In keeping with the turn-of-the-century philosophy of unified design, Charles and Henry Greene believed that all elements of a building should be in harmony, and they designed or designated specific furniture, lighting fixtures, wall decorations, and other accessories for their larger commissions.
