Move through Midtown Atlanta!
Starting at the High Museum of Art, embark on a walking tour and explore architectural elements in the buildings of the Midtown Arts District. Through guided exploration, learn about the area’s urban history, architecture, public art, and greenspaces with Scott Morris, local educator and architectural historian.
About Your Guide
Scott Morris is an architectural historian, cultural resource planner, and educator who was born and raised in Atlanta. He teaches students in Georgia State University’s Heritage Preservation program and consults on various art and design projects throughout the city.
Know Before You Go
This tour will commence on the Carroll Slater Sifly Piazza in front of the museum’s entrance and will cover approximately one mile of walking distance. Assistive listening devices will be provided, and lightweight collapsible stools may be requested in advance. Please note, the museum will be closed during the evening tour, so we will not have access to the indoor spaces, including restrooms.
