Mark your calendar for live jazz at the High, hosted by Jamal Ahmad from Jazz 91.9 WCLK, Atlanta’s jazz station! On the third Friday of every month, you’ll enjoy music, drinks, and art. Each month will feature a different style of jazz, from straight ahead to free jazz, bebop to swing, and more.
Seating for Friday Jazz opens at 6 p.m. It is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
December features the music of singer Nia and her group One27.
With her melodic blend of Kompa, Soul, and R&B, Haitian-American singer Nia is a multicultural vocal powerhouse. She began her career as the lead singer for the Haitian musical group Zin in 2003. Nia traveled widely with the band, which headlined the popular Haitian Compas Festival in Miami for several years.
After more than a decade with Zin, Nia began working on a solo project called The Real Me, which she dedicated to her fans, and put together the band päSH to showcase her love of R&B and Kompa.
She has since relocated to Atlanta and has a new band, One27.
