Skull Still Life Using Proportional Sighting
Join us for a spooky-themed drawing session where you will harness your intuition to guide you through exploring proportions and scale. Learn to exaggerate shadows and lines to fuse dark shapes to emphasize a haunting mood in your drawings. Learn the magic behind scaling still lifes down to smaller proportions and how to use your drawing tools to aid in this.
All drawing levels are welcome, and all supplies are included. Ticket includes access to the museum.
About Your Instructor
Larkin Ford is a visual artist who lives and works in the Atlanta Metro area. Ford grew up in rural North Carolina, and he weaves this and his other personal experiences into enigmatic narratives through drawings and paintings. He has exhibited work locally at MOCA GA, Whitespace, Gallery 72, and Swan Coach House Gallery and internationally in Ireland, Japan, and Belarus. He received his BFA from UNC Asheville and his MFA from Georgia State University, and he teaches drawing and painting at Emory University’s Oxford campus and at the High Museum of Art.
