This month’s theme: The Lost World: The Art of Minnie Evans
Drawing inspiration from The Lost World: The Art of Minnie Evans, participants will emulate Evans’s use of rich, blended color with crayons and colored pencils. Evans often painted symmetrical compositions featuring human and animal forms framed by lush, curling foliage. Learn to use symmetry and imaginative imagery to create vibrant original compositions.
Drawing from Experience is an ongoing series of drawing sessions that take inspiration from the High’s campus and collection. Each session focuses on a different way of seeing and capturing the world around us while allowing participants to explore their own personal expression and develop their drawing skills.
In these sessions, all materials are provided, but participants may bring their own. Your ticket includes access to the galleries.
