Don’t miss an evening of live jazz at the High every third Friday.

Enjoy a drink and light bites, head to the galleries to explore the museum’s works on view, and join a docent-led tour for a detailed look at the collection. With live jazz organized by Kenny Banks Jr., the event will feature two musical areas where musicians will play throughout the evening, layering notes and improvising melodies.

Gallery Talk

Join curatorial research associate Kyle Mancuso for The Grand Tour: American Artists in Italy, a look at paintings and sculptures produced by artists during their summers abroad in Europe. Hear about Capri and Pompeii, sleeping fauns and folk festivals, and toga parties and cypress trees as we discuss the quirks of Italian history, culture, and landscapes that have fascinated Americans for generations.

Please meet on the Third Level of the Stent Wing galleries near the large stained-glass window by John La Farge at 6:30 p.m. Seating is first come, first served.

Tours

HIGHlights tours begin at 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Docent tours meet in the Taylor Lobby and are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

No drinks allowed in the galleries.
