The High Museum’s Permanent Collection
STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics
For this homeschool day the focus will center around STEAM. Explore the High’s permanent collection. Learn how artists are creative problem solvers and thinkers. View how they integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in their art. Take part in docent-led tours, scavenger hunts, and hands-on artmaking. Separate workshops offered.

  • Interactive docent tours from 10:30–11:20 a.m., two separate tours will be offered for older/younger learners
  • Interactive docent tour from 11:30–12:20 p.m., two separate tours will be offered for older/younger learners

Docent tours will meet in the Taylor Lobby outside the Museum Shop.

Art-making workshops from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m. in the Greene Family Education Center. Use an assortment of materials to create your own art. Complete a scavenger hunt and turn it in at the Homeschool Day table before 2:30 p.m. to collect your prize.
