Event Description

Experience Picturing the South: 25 Years, a major exhibition featuring the works of sixteen artists commissioned through the Picturing the South initiative. Members see it first and free! On Thursday, November 4, 2021, experience this new exhibition before it opens to the public.

Works on view will include the first photographs in Sally Mann’s Motherland series; Dawoud Bey’s over-life-size portraits of Atlanta high school students; Richard Misrach’s Cancer Alley industrial landscapes; and new commissions by An-My Lê, Sheila Pree Bright, and Jim Goldberg. Learn more about this special exhibition.

Preregistration is required. For this preview event, your ticket guarantees timed entry to the exhibition. We welcome you to arrive before your entry time to enjoy the event; however, we ask that you enter the exhibition at your designated time to prevent overcrowding in the galleries.

Please reserve tickets by clicking the ticket button above and logging into your account, or call Member and Guest Services at 404-733-4575 (Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.).
