Enjoy live performances at our 2017 Outdoor Performance Series in Merry Go Zoo on the first and third Friday of the month.

Join us for a performance on the Sifly Piazza this month by Russell Gunn and the Krunk Jazz Orkestra. Trumpeter and multi-instrumentalist Russell Gunn was born and raised in Illinois. Weaned on hip-hop, he turned to jazz in his professional pursuits, although hip-hop remains a strong influence. He first attracted the attention of critics and audiences for his contributions to Wynton Marsalis’s Blood on the Fields and has also backed the likes of Jimmy Heath, Roy Hargrove, James Moody, and Maxwell. Gunn has recorded over 16 albums and was nominated for a Grammy in 2000. His most recent recording, The Sirius Mystery (2016), incorporates jazz, African drums, dub step, trap beat, and EDM.
