How do art, history, and science connect with the natural world? What opportunities for innovation, discovery, and beauty can students take part in as we navigate a changing climate?
Join educators from the Georgia Aquarium, High Museum of Art, and Michael C. Carlos Museum to explore how humans draw inspiration from nature’s adaptations across time. This STEAM workshop—designed for kindergarten through twelfth grade classroom teachers—will explore climate change resilience. Teaching at the intersection of STEAM disciplines engages students in creative ways, and this workshop will include practical strategies for integrating the classroom-friendly engineering design process.

Don’t miss this unique professional learning experience focused on creating positive changes in our communities. Each workshop will focus on utilizing design thinking strategies to create engaging, impactful learning experiences for students. It has never been more important for young people to understand the power they hold to enact positive change through their own actions and choices. Through hands-on, immersive activities and guidance, teachers will learn how to design thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to think critically about environmental and social issues, and then translate that awareness into concrete action steps.
Whether you teach elementary, middle, or high school, this professional development will deepen the impact of your curriculum and inspire your students.
