Art Making

Make art at the High: explore creativity through materials and techniques in single-session programs—Drawing from Experience and Studio Sessions—and multi-day Studio Classes. Learn more about art making opportunities below.

Drawing from Experience

Drawing from Experience is an ongoing series of drawing sessions that take inspiration from the High’s campus and collection. Each session focuses on a different way of seeing and capturing the world around us while allowing participants to explore their own personal expression and develop their drawing skills.

In these sessions, all materials are provided, but participants may bring their own. Each session description includes a supply list.  Space is limited, and preregistration is required. Your ticket includes access to the galleries.

Studio Sessions

Interested in exploring different art-making materials and techniques? These one-off art-making workshops are an opportunity to experiment, play, and enjoy dabbling with new mediums, connected to artworks on view at the High. Studio Sessions occur throughout the year. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is required. Studio Sessions are designed for adults, but all ages are welcome.
