This sculpture of an unidentified saint with a tonsured head and wearing a deacon’s dalmatic is of uncertain origin. At one time, it was attributed to the School of Avignon. It has been compared to another statue of a deacon saint in the Louvre, probably of Burgundian origin, by Charles Avery.
