Swedish ceramist Eva Zethraeus works primarily in porcelain, creating biomorphic sculptures that simultaneously represent and abstract nature. Cobalt Sinuate Cluster emerged from Zethraeus’s deep interest in marine life. Her work explores the beauty and wonder of life cycles and replication through a labor-intensive process: each element is hand thrown, treated with several glazes, and fired multiple times before the final product is achieved.
