This sign indicates a spit of land that contains burial grounds and the former terrain of a community of the Pointe-au-Chiene Tribe. Only accessible by boat, the location of the island is a well-kept secret as it is off-limits to anyone other than members of the tribe and their guests. The area became uninhabitable after the coastline shrunk and salt water contaminated the wells and drinking water.
