Jimmy Lee Sudduth was one of the most prolific and beloved self-taught artists of the South. His best work, the majority of which was created between 1970 and 1990, displays an impressive command of materials and technique. Best known for painting with mud supplemented by other natural materials, Sudduth also used house paint.
