Description
Designed for a specific interior space—like virtually all of Frank Lloyd Wright’s furniture—this strikingly original desk and chair reflect the circular shapes and brick color of the S. C. Johnson & Son Administration Building for which they were made. With their frames of cast-aluminum piping, multilevel, cantilevered work surface, swinging rather than sliding drawers, removable wastebaskets, and built-in lighting tubes, the desk and its three-legged chair are remarkable examples of Wright’s innovative design sensibility.
