National Docent Symposium

Breakout Session Proposals

How do you Perfect Your Craft as a docent? Do you have a new or innovative touring strategy? An intriguing way of engaging different audiences or expanding and training your docent corps? How has your docent program addressed diversity? Has your institution incorporated technology in tours?

Every other year, docents from the United States and Canada share their experience, knowledge, and touring and engagement strategies with their colleagues as Breakout Session presenters at the National Docent Symposium. They offer fresh, compelling, and tested ideas for maximizing their guests’ experiences, no matter their institution’s focus or size.
