Join Driskell Prize winner and artist Ebony G. Patterson and curator Michael Rooks in a wide-ranging discussion of Patterson’s creative practice. Together, the speakers will dive into Patterson’s multilayered art and consider how she uses diverse materials to question relationships between race and class, violence and memory, and possibility.

This multiweek course, led by Julia Forbes, will explore the history of ceramics across time, geography, and cultures.

Take a spirited walk through the history and design of cocktails in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and the incredible variety of drinkware crafted for them.

Starting at the High, this walking tour will explore the architectural elements in the buildings and homes of the Midtown Arts District.

Organized around objects in the exhibition Dutch Art in a Global Age: Masterpieces from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and in the High’s collection, this four-week course will explore the relationships between local and nonlocal, nature and artifice, religious and secular, and freedom and control. Central to the examination of prints, paintings, decorative objects, and more will be an awareness of the human costs associated with globalization and how art can highlight and elide complex historical narratives.
