Don’t miss an evening of live jazz at the High every third Friday.

Enjoy a drink and light bites, head to the galleries to explore the museum’s works on view, and join a docent-led tour for a detailed look at the collection. The event will feature two musical areas where musicians will play throughout the evening, layering notes and improvising melodies.

Tours

HIGHlights tours begin at 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Docent tours meet in the Taylor Lobby and are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

No drinks allowed in the galleries.

Téja

Téja is a musician best known as a performer of soul, jazz, and funk. She has collaborated and performed with Lil Yachty, JID, Janelle Monáe, Jennifer Holliday, Frank McComb, Musiq Soulchild, Chrisette Michele, Carol Albert, Kindred the Family Soul, Kenny Lattimore, Angie Stone, and Chandra Currelley-Young, and she is a member of the all-woman band VENUS. Her EP The Hopeless Romantic was released in 2017, and her single “Go” was released in 2020 and is available on Spotify. She is currently working on new music.   • Doors for Friday Jazz open at 6 p.m. The museum will remain closed between 5 to 6 p.m.
