Join us for a docent-led tour of the High’s impactful collection of quilts made by Black women. Patterns in Abstraction: Black Quilts from the High’s Collection explores the question, “How can quilts made by Black women change the way we tell the history of abstract art?” Presented as objects made for use and with the artistic intent to represent people, places, and things abstractly, these quilts offer a window into how the works of nonacademic artists can transform our understanding of artistic innovation in American art.

Capacity is limited, and preregistration is required. Register today using the ticketing button above and logging in to your account or by calling Member Services at 404-733-4575 (Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.).
