Seeing with Spirit
Join us for a casual, thoughtful conversation connecting art and spiritual practice. Join the conversation at 12 noon and 1 p.m.
Each month, a faith, spiritual, or contemplative practitioner joins a High staff member in a conversation centered on a work of art and the ways it invites deeper reflection into their contemplative practice.
Markham Jenkins (MSW) is an Amazonian medicine practitioner and wellness coach. His work includes ceremonial practices that seek to connect the mind, body, and spirit. Jenkins trained in Shipibo Indigenous teachings and shamanic traditions under master shaman Angela Sanchez Rios and is also proficient in Western-style counseling techniques with degrees in counseling psychology and social work.
Jenkins will discuss Twilight by Alex Katz.
Yoga
Join one of four beginner-friendly, drop-in yoga classes held throughout the afternoon. All classes are led by certified instructors. Sign up for a class at one of the two check-in desks between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. or 12 noon and 12:30 p.m. Spots are first come, first served. This month features Ganesh and Kelsey Reed.

just add honey
just add honey is an Atlanta-based small business that offers blended loose-leaf teas for all to enjoy. Since 2006, they’ve combined single-origin loose-leaf teas from small-batch farms with local or organic ingredients to make refined flavors. They will be offering a selection of zero-proof teas available for purchase.
Labyrinth
This labyrinth, designed by artist Steven L. Anderson, may look like a maze, but it is not meant to confuse or frustrate you. The labyrinth is a nearly 4,000-year-old design that has been found in a variety of forms and cultures. We invite you to use this labyrinth for walking meditation and contemplation.
Community Spotlight
Each month, the High’s Learning and Civic Engagement department shines a spotlight on community organizations, initiatives, and individuals that support the museum’s directive to extend creativity and civic connection across Atlanta. This month, we are highlighting the work of the Bobby Dodd Institute.
The Bobby Dodd Institute empowers people with disabilities to build skills, find meaningful employment, and live independently. Its programs provide individuals at every stage of life with the confidence and tools to reach their full potential while offering families and caregivers resources to support their loved ones.
