Bergan Burnett joined the High Museum of Art as Chief Financial Officer in July 2024. As CFO, Burnett is responsible for the development of financial strategy, annual and long-term financial planning, and ongoing financial reporting and operations.
Prior to joining the High, Burnett served as the Vice President of Finance at the Atlanta Humane Society (AHS). In that role, she was responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations and managing its annual operating budget. Before joining AHS, Burnett served as the controller for the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, where she handled the accounting for the nonprofit’s extensive range of programs. Burnett began her accounting career at Kearney & Company, where she earned her certified public accountant license and managed financial reporting for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
A longtime Atlanta resident, Burnett earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
