Caroline Maddox joined the museum as Deputy Director of Philanthropy in October 2024. She leads the team responsible for the High’s contributed revenue, including individual, corporate, foundation, and government support, as well as the museum’s Wine Auction and David C. Driskell Prize Gala fundraisers. In previous positions with the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the Georgia Museum of Art, she led strategic campaigns to expand audiences, build endowments and execute large-scale fundraising events. Before joining the High’s team, she served as the Vice President of Advancement for South Arts.
Caroline earned a Ph.D. in art from the University of Georgia, a master’s degree in art business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York, and bachelor’s degrees in art history and studio art from the University of Georgia. She is also an artist and a devoted practitioner and teacher of yoga.
