Member ticket presale starts March 16 with not-yet-member tickets available on March 30 for this blockbuster exhibition, ending its tour in Atlanta, where tickets are expected to sell out quickly

Exclusive VIP tickets available on Friday nights

WHAT:
To see the critically acclaimed exhibition “Amy Sherald: American Sublime,” featuring her iconic portrait of First Lady Michelle Obama, opening at the High on May 15 for its last tour stop, visitors will need to reserve a timed, exhibition-specific ticket. Presale for tickets begins on March 16 for members and March 30 for not-yet-members.

Following the exhibition’s sold-out crowds at the Baltimore Museum of Art and overwhelming demand at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, visitors are strongly encouraged to secure tickets as early as possible.

WHEN:
Presale starts for members on March 16 and for not-yet-members on March 30.

WHERE:
High Museum of Art
1280 Peachtree St. NE
Atlanta, GA 30309

DETAILS:
The High Museum of Art is the final stop on the national tour and the last opportunity to experience “Amy Sherald: American Sublime,” one of the most talked-about exhibitions of the year. Due to anticipated high demand and a limited run, the exhibition will require a timed ticket for all patrons like past blockbuster exhibitions “Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors” and “The Obama Portraits Tour,” which both sold out. Members receive exclusive early access to free* tickets starting on March 16. Not-yet-member tickets will become available on March 30.

Exhibition tickets, which will also include access to the rest of the museum, are $28.50 per person for not-yet-members ages 6 and over (except on Friday evenings and during High Frequency Friday or Friday Jazz events) and free for visitors ages 5 and under. All visitors to the exhibition ages 6 and older will require an exhibition ticket. Children ages 5 and under are admitted free of charge but are walk-up only and do not receive advance timed tickets.

The exhibition will be open after regular museum hours every Friday night throughout its run. For High Frequency Friday and Friday Jazz nights (the first and third Fridays of each month respectively), patrons can purchase special VIP tickets that include access to the exhibition and the musical events happening on those nights. Every other Friday night, visitors can purchase tickets for an exclusive viewing of the exhibition only. VIP tickets for Friday nights will also include a private bar with drinks for purchase and an exclusive VIP poster. VIP tickets for Friday nights are $40 for members and $55 for not-yet-members and will be available on the presale dates.

Admission to the exhibition will remain free on Access for All days and UPS Second Sundays but will require a separate, timed ticket. Tickets for the exhibition on those days can be reserved online on the program-specific pages one month before each program.
