High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction returns March 20-22

ATLANTA, Jan. 8, 2025 — This year, the High Museum of Art invites art and wine lovers to celebrate, dine and show their support at the 33rd annual High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction, taking place March 20-22. Recognized as the largest national wine auction to benefit the arts, the event has raised more than $41 million for the museum over three decades. Atlantans and guests from around the country are invited to “Party with a Purpose” with more than 65 wineries and restaurants under the tents at Atlantic Station.

Since 1993, the Auction has been a vital fundraiser for the High’s exhibitions and educational programs. The Dick Denny Paddle Raise, which was established in 2006 and takes place during the event’s Live Auction, has contributed more than $2.1 million to the museum’s Art Access student field trip program.

“Our benefactors’ generosity leading up to and during the Auction is an investment and belief in our purpose-driven programming, impact-focused outreach efforts and community-minded development,” said Rand Suffolk, director of the High. “We look forward to convening with our friends, peers and exceptional vintners and restaurateurs from across the country, all to honor and support the High’s mission.”

The 2025 Wine Auction cochairs are Dio Jensen and Lauren Reeves. Jensen brings a plethora of experience and passion for the arts and philanthropy to this position. She served as copresident of the American Institute of Graphic Arts Atlanta, teaches graphic design at Miami Ad School and Furman University and was a member of the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential (GCAPP) Host Committee. Reeves has been a passionate wine enthusiast for more than 20 years and has attended the Auction for the past decade. She is committed to giving back to the community and has volunteered her time to support organizations such as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Junior League of Atlanta and the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The 2025 Special Guest of Honor is Scott Morrison, winemaker at Jarvis Estates since 2016. The quality-focused and family-owned winery has a 45,000-square-foot cave system that provides the perfect environment for Morrison to make the world-class wines for which Jarvis is known. Following in the footsteps of the acclaimed Dimitri Tchelistcheff, who founded the Jarvis winemaking legacy, Morrison draws on his diverse experiences and passion for life and winemaking to uphold Jarvis Estate’s commitment to excellence.

The 2025 Wine Auction events will include:

  • Winemaker Dinners — March 20: These events are hosted in luxurious Atlanta homes and feature visiting winemakers pairing wines with lavish dinners curated by celebrated national and Atlanta chefs like Craig Richards of Lyla Lila and Elise, the upcoming Woodruff Arts Center’s restaurant, and Christopher Grossman of The Chastain.
  • Friday Uncorked! — March 21: This high-energy event promises to provide outstanding wines and delicious fare. Guests are invited to an entertaining evening where they can share stories, laughter with friends and a spin or two on the dance floor.
  • Vintners’ Reception and Live Auction — March 22: The main event of the week celebrates wine, food, art and friendship, with more than 65 world-class vintners and dozens of popular Atlanta restaurants showcasing top-tier wines and delicious samples. During the Live Auction, benefactors bid on lots featuring unique experiences, unforgettable wines and once-in-a-lifetime trips.

“Each Auction provides an opportunity to strengthen relationships with wineries and donors from across the nation, all while supporting the High’s mission,” said Caroline Maddox, the High’s deputy director of philanthropy. “We look forward to celebrating the Wine Auction’s history in its 33rd year and communing with old and new friends alike at next years’ events.”
