Art and Design: Playscapes

This summer, K–12 students are invited to explore creativity, design, and play through Isamu Noguchi: “I am not a designer.” During this ninety-minute program, students engage in an interactive, guided tour of the exhibition, discovering how Isamu Noguchi blended art, sculpture, and landscape design to shape imaginative environments.

Students will also participate in a hands-on workshop, where they experiment with form, space, and movement to design their own “playscapes” inspired by Noguchi’s innovative approach to art and public space.

Perfect for summer groups, this program encourages students to think like designers while exploring how art can transform the way we play and interact with the world.
