Staccato dots of paint and the feet of Annie and Chestafel seem to tap out a rhythm for the eyes in this lively painting by Mose Tolliver. His skill as a colorist is evident in the harmonious blues, greens, and browns. This former gardener once reminisced about his enjoyment of the color patterns in the flowers he tended. As the title implies, this work commemorates a welcome visit from Northern friends.
