Toddler Saturdays engage children’s creativity and explore monthly topics with related artwork, art-making activities, and self-guided tours.

Family Saturdays incorporate arts programming for everyone. Friends and families of any age can experiment, play, and make art in studio workshops and learn about art on view through gallery tours.

Each session focuses on a different way of seeing and capturing the world around us while allowing participants to explore their own personal expression and develop their drawing skills.

Discover the ancient art of Suminagashi (or “floating ink”) as you create elegant, one-of-a-kind marbled patterns on water. Learn how to guide pigment rings across the water’s surface before transferring your designs onto absorbent Japanese paper. Explore this meditative practice that celebrates chance, breath, and the beauty of flowing color. Leave with a paper or fabric bearing your printed designs

Musing Together is a monthly art conversation program designed for individuals with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia and their care partners.

Over the last fifty years, photographer Mimi Plumb has expertly and poignantly captured the evolution of the Western US landscape and the lives of those within it. In her first solo museum exhibition, the High presents three of her major bodies of work, featuring more than one hundred photographs captured in and around San Francisco and across the American West.

Join us at a VIP YP lounge at the Opening Weekend Party for Isamu Noguchi: “I am not a designer.” Experience the new exhibition, an artmaking activity, cocktails, and more! From 6 to 10 p.m., come to the High for after-hours access and fun in the VIP Lounge, just for YP members.
