Visitors can purchase a VIP ticket to enjoy the exhibition after hours, with fewer crowds, and access to a cash bar from 5 to 9 p.m. every Friday night throughout the run of this exhibition. During VIP nights, the rest of the museum will close as normal at 5 p.m. On Fridays when there are High Frequency Friday or Friday Jazz events, the entire museum — including Amy Sherald — is open until 9 p.m. You must have a VIP Ticket in order to view Amy Sherald during High Frequency Friday or Friday Jazz. A VIP ticket will also give access to High Frequency Friday or Friday Jazz, on nights when those programs are concurrent.

Don’t miss an evening of live jazz at the High every third Friday.

Enjoy a drink and light bites, head to the galleries to explore the museum’s works on view, and join a docent-led tour for a detailed look at the collection. The event will feature two musical areas where musicians will play throughout the evening, layering notes and improvising melodies.

Visit our collection galleries and exhibitions, including Isamu Noguchi: “I am not a designer”, Los Porfiados (The Stubborns), and New Acquisitions: Photography. For access to Amy Sherald: American Sublime, you can purchase a VIP ticket to enjoy the exhibition after hours, with fewer crowds, and access to a cash bar from 5 to 9 p.m.

A large, diverse crowd of people enjoy a lively indoor event with colorful lighting and bold wall art. Some are dancing, singing, or talking, creating an energetic and festive atmosphere.

Tours

HIGHlights tours begin at 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Docent tours meet in the Taylor Lobby and are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

No drinks allowed in the galleries.

Know Before You Go:

  • Membership guest passes cannot be redeemed for this event.
  • Doors for Friday Jazz open at 6 p.m. The museum will remain closed between 5 to 6 p.m.
  • Seating is extremely limited, and priority is given to guests with disabilities.
  • Due to capacity restrictions, in order to visit Amy Sherald: American Sublime at Friday Jazz, visitors must purchase a VIP ticket for the Amy Sherald: American Sublime exhibition. This ticket will also include admission to Friday Jazz. Standard Friday Jazz tickets will not grant visitors access to Amy Sherald: American Sublime.
  • All tickets reservations are final. Tickets reservations cannot be rescheduled or exchanged.
  • No outside food or beverage is permitted.
  • We strongly recommend using rideshare or MARTA because parking in the Woodruff Arts Center garage is limited and may reach capacity before you arrive. Find out about other parking options here.
