The High Museum of Art turns 100 this year, and Atlanta – we have to celebrate!
Join us for a Centennial year filled with special exhibitions, collection favorites returning to the galleries, free community celebrations, music, family programs, interactive moments across the city and one-of-a-kind events that honor the past and look toward the next 100 years.
Upcoming Events
We’re planning a full year of different ways to gather at the High, including fan-favorites you’ve attended and loved throughout the years: free admission days, family programs, Friday Jazz, High Frequency Friday, Access for All, UPS Second Sunday, art making classes, conversations with artists and tastemakers, performances, and more.
Featured Centennial Events
Join the High Museum of Art and the Atlanta History Center, both marking their 100th anniversary this year, to explore the process of telling stories about Black history and representation in Atlanta.
Celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the Driskell Prize Gala with an after party honoring Dr. Cheryl Finley, the 2026 Driskell Prize recipient, and the enduring legacy of David C. Driskell. DJ Mars spins alongside 10-time Grammy winner Bryan-Michael Cox for a night of music, art, and community.
Join us for a special evening exploring The Recipe Collection, a cookbook published by The Member’s Guild of the High in 1981.

The High is taking over Peachtree Street to throw a 100th birthday bash you won’t forget. Join us for a free Block Party featuring live music, DJs, art-making, food vendors and special surprises.
In commemoration of the museum’s 100th anniversary, this walking tour will introduce you to the architects who designed the buildings that have housed the High throughout its history.
The High turns 100 this year, and we’re marking it with a party worthy of a century of secrets. Join us Friday, October 30 for A Haunting at 100, a Halloween night unlike anything else the museum has hosted.
After Hours
Enjoy Amy Sherald: American Sublime after hours, with fewer crowds, and access to a cash bar from 5 to 9 p.m. every Friday night throughout the run of this exhibition. During VIP nights, the rest of the museum will close as normal at 5 p.m.

For Families
Designed for children ages fifteen months through three years and their caregivers, Toddler Thursdays engage children’s creativity and explore monthly topics with related artwork and self-guided tours, as well as new art-making activities to drop in for each week.
Family Saturdays incorporate arts programming for everyone. Friends and families of any age can experiment, play, and make art in studio workshops and learn about art on view through gallery tours.

The Centennial year brings together exhibitions across photography, sculpture, design, family favorites, works on paper, and more.
Explore the role of trees and landscape in American art through prints, drawings, and sculptures from the High’s collection.
Step into the visual worlds of Walter Wick, the artist behind the beloved I SPY! and Can You See What I See? books. This exhibition is made for close looking, discovery, and visitors of all ages.
See a major exhibition of work by Martin Puryear, one of the most important American sculptors of our time. The exhibition brings together sculpture, drawings, prints, and decades of work shaped by form, material, craft, and history.
Explore the work of three major photographers who helped shape the way photography is seen, taught, and understood as an art form.
With more than fifty works, this exhibition brings to light his rarely studied engagement with printmaking as both central to his practice and a site of innovation and collaboration.
