December Musing Together

Musing Together is a monthly art conversation program designed for individuals with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia and their care partners. Each month, High Museum of Art staff facilitate lively conversations focusing on four to six artworks on view in the High’s collection or special exhibitions.

Introduction to Fabric Dyeing

Experiment with color, pattern, design, and composition while exploring a variety of fabric dyeing techniques. Practice tie-dyeing, painting dye directly onto fabric, and carving your own stamps to create bold new patterns that add character and depth to your textiles.

Introduction to Mixed Media Printing

Explore collagraphs, monoprints, and relief prints in this introductory printmaking class. Learn safe cutting and carving techniques, and experiment with texture as you design stamps, create collage plates, and practice different inking methods to make individual impressions and editions. Dive into the processes of pattern design, hand printing, printing with an etching press, and inking plates with multiple colors, and develop your personal expression through line, texture, color, and composition.
